The process for the selective oxidation of acid methyl esters of rapeseed oil RME is complex and depends on the temperature. The primary oxidation products with a high peroxide value decompose into secondary products, increasing the acid number and the viscosity of the product. Simultaneously peroxide value is reduced. Production is run on three different stages: lab scale (up to four liter of product), the pilot test batch of 100 kg of product (pilot-scale reactor with a capacity of 200 dm3) and industrial scale using a reactor with a capacity of 2 m3, allowing the production of 1000 dm3 batch Bio-fluxing agent.
